What to do if I receive a damaged product
What to Do if You Receive a Damaged Item in the Mail
Addressing Damaged Deliveries
At Mardi Gras Apparel, we are committed to ensuring that your orders reach you in perfect condition. However, if you happen to receive a damaged item, please follow the steps below to address the issue:
-
Notify Mardi Gras Apparel:
- Immediately report the damage to us. Use the chat box on our website, located in the lower right-hand corner, to inform us of the issue.
- Provide details about the damaged item and your order number for reference.
-
Document the Damage:
- Take clear photographs of the damaged item as it was packaged inside the box.
- Capture images of the damaged item itself, the packaging material used, and all six sides of the package.
- Include a photo of the shipping label with the tracking number and the box manufacturer’s certificate (round stamp on the outside of the box).
-
Retain the Damaged Item and Packaging:
- Keep the damaged item and all packaging materials, as they may be required for inspection by the carrier.
-
File a Claim with the Carrier:
- Since Mardi Gras Apparel is not responsible for items damaged in transit, you will need to file a claim with the delivery carrier (UPS, USPS, etc.).
- We will assist you in the claim process, providing any necessary information and support.
Important Notes:
- Responsibility for Damages: Mardi Gras Apparel is not liable for items damaged during shipping unless it is due to our fault.
- Claims with the Carrier: It is the customer’s responsibility to file a claim with the carrier for any damages incurred during transit.
- No Refunds for Shipping Damages: We do not issue refunds for items damaged in shipping, unless the damage is caused by our own handling.
